• PLANNING
I initiated an update of the Village's Comprehensive Land Use Plan and has encouraged the Park Board to develop a comprehensive plan for recreational programs and facilities. I have also encouraged more collaboration between the Village Council, the Planning Commission and the Park Board.
• GATHERING RESOURCES
I obtained two significant competitive grants (for $550,000) for the Village from the Clean Ohio Fund to preserve 67 acres of undeveloped land, the Eastwood and Carter properties.
I also negotiated the purchase of 4 other properties as part of the Village's overall plan to expand parks, recreation, open space and Village facilities:
| o | Pedigo property (33 acres to expand the Village complex to the south), |
| o | Starkey property (4 acres to expand the County Library property to the east), |
| o | Johnson property (4 acres to expand Richfield Woods Park to the south), and |
| o | Dizmo property (4 acres to expand the Village complex to the east). |
