The
invasion of Iraq was not justified as part of the war on terrorism and was not necessary to address imminent threats. In addition, the administration failed to understand and prepare for the aftermath of invasion.
Now, the administration must acknowledge these errors, re-define our role in Iraq and establish a timetable for reasonable withdrawal. Immediate withdrawal without consideration for the consequences in Iraq is the same type of simplistic decision-making that created this situation.
